4-5 times a week people wask me: "what is your #1 advice for starting my own business".
I always give the same answer:
1. Learn how to so sales
2. Get a job working for someone in a similar business to the one you want to start.
People don't realize that they will be the only salesperson in their business for a long time. No matter how good the product or service is, if they can't sell it, they won't have a business.
But selling is only 50% of the challenge. Once you sold your product you now have to deliver. By working in a similar industry you are able to learn from their business, and take those tips and tricks and apply them day 1 in your own venture.
