In this letter from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, to then President Reagan, the Rebbe talks about the vitality of the presence of Godliness in schools, both public and private.
The concept of a moment of silence in schools during which the children are meant to take the time to contemplate the purpose of their existence in this world is sure to enhance the feeling of global responsibility in more and more people.
Instead, in recent years, all parties have moved more and more AWAY from religion in schools, thereby removing God from schools entirely, and essentially from the childhood of the vast majority of today's adults.
