How To Maximize a Business Conference.

It's almost midnight and I just got back to my hotel room. Taking calculated risks is part of life, and it's certainly part of busines.

I am in Phoenix, Arizona at a conference with 300 C-level executives of Drug Rehab Centers. We produce 2 minute 'feature films' of their Facilties to market their services.

This conference is very expensive to attend. So here are my top techniques to take advantage of every second:

1. Show up first and leave last to every networking opportunity

2. Get out of your comfort zone. Say hello to every single person you meet. Extend your hand, say your name, ask them what they do. I like to find people sitting or standing alone. They are bored anyways.

3. If person is a potential client, show them what you do.

4. Take their business card.

5. Have someone at your office send them a follow up e-mail with more information from your e-mail address. This should be done in real time.

6. Try to set up a sit down meeting at the event with prospect.

7. Follow up, follow up, follow up.

8. Pitch, sign, close, charge, over deliver.

9. Have fun.

10. Repeat.
